Hello Leonard,
This year has reminded us all just how important staying connected is, no matter what that looks like. For decades, keeping families connected and together during medical care has been our primary mission, and that remains true despite the challenges of 2020.
Thanks to you, we continue to build new Fisher Houses and find innovative ways of keeping families like the Gaspar family together.
Major Ian Gaspar, his wife Kimberly, and their three children arrived at the Walter Reed Fisher House in January, just weeks before the pandemic began. Doctors had discovered that Kimberly had a brain tumor, so the family of five left their duty station in Japan and spent the next seven months together in quarantine at Fisher House while she received treatment.
Fisher House Foundation works hard to be a good steward of the resources you entrust to us. Over 90% of every dollar spent goes directly to our mission to support military and veterans’ families.
